We use Australian Fine Sea Salt, granulated and brown sugars.
Salt has magnesium sulfate which contain minerals to reduce inflammation. When mixed with oils and used on the body it can replenish tired and dry skin and exfoliate dead skin cells which otherwise become hard. Salt is often more course and often used on hands and feet.
Sugar is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the environment into the skin. Sugar's small particles makes an excellent topical exfoliant and why its used in body scrubs to exfoliate dead surface skin cells and reveal glowing and healthier looking skin. Sugar scrubs are best for those with sensitive skin.
Brown Sugar is softer and has finer grains than white sugar. Because of this, brown sugar is often used in facial scrubs.
Coconut Oil - medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil work as antimicrobial agents to help kill bacterial and other viruses. It is very similar to our natural sebum secretion and is suitable for all skin types, even acne prone skin. Coconut oil is the most popular oil used for scrubs. It easily soaks in the skin making it a perfect, natural moisturizer.
Sweet Almond Oil - the amino acids and vitamins in this oil go on light and smooth and help more solids oils (like coconut) penetrate more deeply. It absorbs easily and softens very well. The emollient properties in almond oil help to improve skin tone and complexion. Great for all skin types especially dry and sensitive.
Cherry Kernel Oil - this oil is rich in Vitamin A which assists skin health. Due to the high content of antioxidents being a natural emollient it improves dry skin
Apricot Kernel Oil - a non-greasy, enriching emollient. Helps to revitalize, soothe, prevent acne, inflammation and dryness. This oil is rich in vitamins A and E.
Guys and Gals— Did you know that body scrubs help with shaving “down there?”
Many guys and gals shave or get waxed “down there”! My esthetician told me this and I have experienced it firsthand! The oils that you rub into your skin with sugar and/or salt gives some much needed lubrication for your razor and skin? You will be able to glide your razor right over your skin without any problems, which means that you'll get those razor blades closer to your skin for a longer, smoother shave and help lessen those red bumps and ingrown hairs?
Shampoo & conditioning bars are all natural, convenient and have less waste on our environment.
They are travel friendly. Because they are not a liquid they can go in your carry on bag and take up less space.
They help to eliminate product build up and usually lasts longer than liquid shampoo.
You can use by rubbing directly on your hair or rub in hands and massage on your hair creating a creamy rich lather.
They make your hair feel clean and silky smooth.
And because there are no plastic bottles being used they are better for the environment.
Blend of citrus, cranberries and a touch of champagne with notes of praline and musk. Both festive and relaxing!
